Our Club’s Objectives – What We Stand For
At Worthing Rowing Club, we’re more than just a rowing club – we’re a community built on teamwork, inclusivity, and a shared love for the sport. Our constitution sets out a few key objectives that guide everything we do:
🚣 Promoting Rowing for All – Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rower, we want to make rowing accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for everyone.
🏆 Encouraging Both Recreational & Competitive Rowing – Whether you want to row for fun, fitness, or competition, we provide coaching and support to help you achieve your goals.
🌍 Engaging with the Local Community – We’re proud to be part of Worthing, and we love promoting rowing in the local area, welcoming new members, and supporting community events.
🏠 Looking After Our Club & Facilities – We maintain our clubhouse and equipment to provide the best experience for our members, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
❤️ Ensuring Member Wellbeing – Rowing should be fun and fulfilling, so we take the safety and wellbeing of our members seriously, looking after each other both on and off the water.
🤝 Creating an Inclusive and Fair Environment – We believe rowing is for everyone, so we’re committed to treating all members fairly and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
These values shape our club and make it a fantastic place to row, train, and socialise. Whether you’re here to compete, keep fit, or just enjoy the water, you’ll always have a place at Worthing Rowing Club! 🚣♂️❤️💙
"Worthing Rowing Club's 2025 season is all about building for the future by expanding training opportunities, increasing community presence, and enhancing the club’s overall offering. This year, we’re focused on growing our membership, improving our fleet, and providing more coached sessions to support athlete development. We aim to have a strong presence at all CARA regattas while also increasing engagement through social media, outreach events, and sponsorship opportunities. With a renewed focus on structured growth, we’re committed to creating a thriving and inclusive rowing environment for all members."
