I am an experienced rower
If you are an adult, have rowed at another club, or wish to take up rowing again after a break, and would like to find out what the best squad is for you, first review the information on the Competitive and Recreational squad pages. When you are ready to join please fill out the experienced rower form below.
I am new to rowing
If you are an adult beginner to rowing please review our Learn to Row page before signing up to our Learn to Row mailing list. Please use this form if you are also keen to attend our next open day.
I am a joining as a junior rower
If you are a junior, or their parent or guardian, after reviewing the information on our Junior Rowing page, please email Olivia, our J16 Coordinator.
I am joining as a social member
We have many friends and volunteers who don't want to or are unable to row with us on the water or indoors, but they still want to show their support for our club. That's where the social membership comes in. This entitles you to attend club events and to wear club colours, but most importantly of all to show your support for one of the best clubs on the coast!
Additional Fees & Info
At Worthing Rowing Club, we strive to keep rowing accessible and affordable for all our members. While there are some additional costs associated with racing and kit, we are always working on ways to reduce expenses—whether through fundraising, sponsorship, or sourcing more cost-effective suppliers. Our goal is to ensure that cost is never a barrier to enjoying the sport and being part of our club!
Membership Fees
Our rowing year runs from 1 October to 30 September. We do not charge a joining fee. The fees applicable to the current season can be viewed above.
Race entry fees
Race entry fees are the cost of entry to events. Race fees need to be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer one day before the event at the latest.
Racing Kit
Rowers racing in competitive events are required to wear our standard all-in-one racing suit, which can be purchased from Stitch Rowing. For more information on how to purchase this kit, please visit our 'Club Colours and Kit' page.
British Rowing Membership
For members wishing to race in British Rowing-affiliated events, such as beach sprints or inland river races, a British Rowing membership is required. However, most coastal racing is governed by the Coastal Amateur Rowing Association (CARA), so this membership is not needed for the majority of our regular coastal competitions.
