RECREATIONAL ROWING

Recreational rowing at Worthing Rowing Club is hands down my favourite way to spend a summer evening. Personally, I like to take a single scull out, row out to get the perfect sunset shot on my phone, and if the conditions are right, I might even practice my rowing technique. Some days, it’s a workout; other days, it’s just about disconnecting after work!

Recreational Rowing at Worthing Rowing Club
Recreational rowing at Worthing Rowing Club welcomes rowers of all ages and abilities who share a passion for being on the water, staying active, and enjoying great company. Whether you're a seasoned rower or returning to the sport, our friendly and inclusive community offers a fantastic way to experience rowing without the pressures of competition.
For those who love to explore, our recreational rowers also take part in rowing trips to discover new waterways. In 2024, we rowed in stunning locations across the UK, including Loch Ness!
We row on the sea during the spring, summer, and autumn months, embracing the challenge and exhilaration of coastal rowing. In the winter, we take to the River Adur, offering a different but equally enjoyable experience on calmer waters.
Rowing with us isn’t just about the time spent on the water—it’s also about the friendships formed off it. After outings, our rowers often meet up for a drink and a chat, and we regularly host a mid-week social dinner at the club.
